Nestled in the heart of Hollywood with a heritage that screams ‘if only these walls could talk’, Grandmaster was constructed in 1930 and has been many things over its lifetime including Silent Movie Theatre, Live venue and finally a Recording Studio. Over the years the studio was home to legends. Davie Bowie, Neil Young, Stevie Wonder, Ringo Starr, Motley Crue, Billy Idol, Blondie and later Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kanye West, Foo Fighters, Beck and many many more that all recorded here until it closed its doors in 2016.

Only in Hollywood could you inherit such a legacy soaked in Jack Daniels, sweat and rock rock n roll. It is the intention of the Botanical Group to pay tribute to the heritage of the building and it’s rock n roll roots with a concept that has the ability much like our E.P. & L.P. site to ‘come for a meal and stay for the night’. Grandmaster Recorders will be comprised of Restaurant, 71 Studio Bar, and Rooftop space with a 12,400 ft2 footprint that will operate seven days a week.

The restaurant will be headed up by Group Culinary Director Monty Koludrovic and his wife Jaci who will put their spin on Australian Italian cuisine. Grandmaster Recorders will open in Summer 2021 and will be one of the largest format openings in LA for the year.
